Hi all!

Today I am sharing a excerpt from my Family Recipe cookbook. My Ma (mom) made me this book for Christmas one year and I can remember opening it and BURSTING into tears! It was so thoughtful and sweet for her to take the time time to collect the recipes we grew up loving and some great family stories to go with them.

The recipe for the BEST Dang Chocolate Chip Cookies is actually one I added myself. I have found the perfect recipe that beats all other chocolate chip cookie recipes (my Ma agrees my cookies are the BEST). These cookies are gooey, delicious, and soft even after they cool down. My farmer LOVES them!

The BEST Dang Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup butter (I typically use unsalted)
1 cup packed golden brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350F. Cream together butter, sugars, salt, and vanilla. Add eggs and baking soda. Add flour and mix on low. Then add in your chocolate chips. Drop onto greased baking sheet using a table spoon or cookie scoop. Bake for 12-13 minutes or until bottom of the cookies are golden brown. Cookies should still be soft, but firm. Makes approx 4 dozen.

So here you have it! Try them out and let me know what you think.

Much love,

K.
