The Rural Woman Podcast Episode 27 – Inspiring and Encouraging Words from 25 Women in Agriculture: Part One

On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast we’re going to take a look back on the past episodes. I have had the privilege of interviewing 25 incredible women in Ag and I have compiled some of the answers to my favourite questions I have asked my previous guests and put them into two episodes. Part one you’ll hear from the first 12 women I have interviewed. You’ll hear invaluable advice plus what it means to these women to be farmers, ranchers, and homesteaders.

It was so heartwarming to me to sit down a listen back to these interviews. I think it has been a rough year for a lot of producers. Some are just starting to harvest or fall calving, some are stalled in the fields due to weather and some have finished with less than ideal yields. I thought it would be a great opportunity to share the best bits and pieces of wisdom and the reasons why we choose to keep going. I hope you enjoy today’s episode. Part two with the remaining 13 women will be coming through your ear buds next week. I’m also thinking there could be a drinking game created from today’s show – for every time I get emotional or weepy, take a drink for me would you? 😉

“I love this podcast. You have made the drive home from the job I “do” into the most enjoyable drive ever. I now get home with a smile on my face and don’t even mind sitting in traffic. The stories are so engaging and positive. This podcast is giving me hope that one day I will have the job I “want”. I can’t wait to start my own farm adventure and this podcast makes me think it is more possible every day! Thank you from Australia! Cheers”
