The Rural Woman Podcast Episode 45 – LIVE Broadcast: Organic Alberta 2020 Conference – Sharing Your Ag Story Through Podcasting with Katelyn Duban + Interview with Holistic Management Professional Certified Educator Kelly Sidoryk

On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, you’ll get to hear my presentation I recently gave at the 2020 Organic Alberta and Holistic Management Canada conference in Camrose, Alberta. It was an honour to be asked to speak about my journey in agriculture and how The Rural Woman Podcast got its start. I had the pleasure of conducting a live interview with Holistic Management superstar Kelly Sidoryk which you’ll hear in today’s episode.

In the last three weeks I have had an influx of downloads of The Rural Woman Podcast which has been incredibly surreal and humbling. And I also want to say a big hello and welcome to the new listeners of The Rural Woman podcast that have recently found the show through my article in The Western Producer

Kelly Sidoryk | Bio

Kelly Sidoryk ranches with her family near Lloydminster, Sask./Alta. Over 25 years ago they were introduced to Holistic Resource Management (as it was known at the time), a decision making/planning process that focusses on finances, land and people. The process had a significant impact on their operation as it transitioned to be a forage based, livestock enterprise.

She completed the degree program through HRM with a focus on the people side. In addition to running their family business, she has worked with many farm families as they work on transitioning to the next generation. She also teaches Holistic Management Whole/Farm Ranch Planning courses –including goal setting, financial planning, land planning, grazing planning, strategic planning and succession planning. She is a certified educator with Holistic Management International (HMI). She is also on the HMI board, based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In addition, Kelly works with a colleague and organizes local events including the Inspiring Women Conference, Cowgirl Yoga and Harvest Feastival – a local food event. She enjoys riding, travelling, writing and photography and being a new grandma to Bennett.
