On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast you’ll hear from Tammy Thielman. We talk about he unique counselling practice as well as mental health in agriculture.

Tammy Thielman | Bio

Tammy is a registered Masters-Level Social Worker and Mental Health Counsellor who lives with her husband John, of 25 years, and three children on their working family farm in the Interior of British Columbia. Raised in farming, Tammy’s passion is bringing the worlds of mental health and wellness and farming and animals together.

Tammy’s counselling practice is farm-based and gives people of all ages access to specialized counselling along with the experience of being with farm animals and outside in nature. Her office is a cabin surrounded by peace and quiet, horse corrals, sheep pastures and barns she and John built themselves. Tammy is an advocate for rural and producer mental health, a speaker and consultant on mental health and agriculture, and is proud to be a small-town farm-her.

Tammy also specializes in treating trauma, supporting First Responders and working with children and youth in complex family systems.
