On today’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, you’ll meet Ashley Clark. Ashley, her husband Ben, and their son Wilder strive to live simply and fully on their 68 acre maple farm, Sacred Roots Maple located in upstate New York. Sacred Roots Maple was established by the Clark’s in 2016 but their roots go much deeper than that. The sap collected to make their maple syrup comes directly from land that’s been sugared since the 1800’s. Today, we chat about how Ashley and her family are keeping maple traditions alive with their wood fired evaporator, while blending the newest technology to optimize productivity and health of the maple trees.
