On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, you’ll meet Sarah Cross. Sarah was born and raised in sunny SoCal and never imagined she would be living on a 36 acre, semi-off grid homestead in rural Indiana.  Sarah, along with her husband, have made a conscientious shift from a consumer-driven city to an intentional life in the country with a focus on homesteading and self-sufficiency.  Canning, gardening, raising chickens, sewing, cooking, training a livestock guardian pup, and beginning her own body care business are just some of Sarah’s intentional-living pursuits. She manages all this while working full time.  Next steps include selling eggs, produce, and handcrafted soap at a local farmers’ market and teaching others how to take first steps into homesteading through classes on her property.  While she holds a master’s degree in Archaeology, it is her thirst for knowledge and tenacious spirit that make Sarah’s story unique.
