Alison loves to mentor and cheer women on with their hopes and dreams. Alison is a wife, mom, gramma and avid horse back rider. She loves community and connections. Alison is involved in every aspect of the farm from investment decisions, assessing land, and sustainability protocols to operating machinery and cooking meals. She holds a diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan and a Leadership Certificate from the Edwards School of Business. She is an active member of the 4-H Expo committee at the Lloydminster Exhibition and has been a 4-H leader for over 15 years.

Alison recently created Navigate a planner for women living a rural lifestyle. The hope for Navigate is to be a tool to help bring calm where balance can be a myth. She wanted to create a book that had scheduling, journaling, record keeping and self care all in one.

Alison actively embraces the farm to food connection and sustainability on her farm by educating others on the importance of sustainability and the benefits that Canadian agriculture has to the world. She embraces her strong connection to the youth and strives to teach them ‘where does our food come from?” As such she is a seasoned group facilitator and has hosted numerous farm tours and led school groups in the classroom and in the field. She knows through experience that hands-on learning is life changing for so many kids that do not get the opportunities to visit a farm.

Alison is an experienced communicator and a trusted counsellor to many people in the community. Her positive outlook is reflected in her role as a lay minister with the Grace United Church. Her life-long passions include giving back to her community, schools and church through the youth.

Alison recently became a Grandma and says it is the best job in the world! But when she is not hanging out with her children and grandchildren, you can find her riding her horses, reading, gardening, quilting, or trying a new recipes to make the ultimate harvest meals in the field.
