In 1958, Norma and her family planted five acres of strawberries on rented ground. It took them 16 years to get into full-time farming. Norma drove school buses for strawberry pickers, drove trucks to haul sweet corn and beans, and she has hoed a lot of strawberries. Norma loves farming. What she loves about it is that the family can work together. Norma had four sons and now her son Raymond and his children, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren all work together.
