sharing the people and places behind the agricultural industry
THIS WEEK ON THE PODCAST, KIRBY SCHNOOR SHARES HER JOURNEY FROM GROWING UP IN A FARMING FAMILY IN CALIFORNIA TO BECOMING A PROMINENT FIGURE IN AGRICULTURAL MEDIA. SHE TALKS ABOUT HER PASSION FOR STORYTELLING, THE IMPORTANCE OF WOMEN IN AG, AND THE CHALLENGES AND REWARDS OF SHARING AGRICULTURAL STORIES, WHILE HIGHLIGHTING EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN IN THE INDUSTRY.
Coming to Texas via California, where she was raised on her family’s almond farm in the Central Valley, Kirbe believes in educating audiences about the agriculture and livestock industries; where their food comes from, the clothes on their back, and the people who make it all possible. After college, Kirbe moved to Fort Worth to work for Superior Livestock Auction, hosting a daily live broadcast on the cattle market and industry fluctuations that aired on RFD-TV.
She went on to become the resident Western Lifestyle and Agricultural Reporter for RFD-TV, a role that took her cross-country to interview rodeo athletes, livestock exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and public figures. She’s covered every aspect of western life and culture from the fields to the red carpet.
In addition to her roles on RFD-TV, Kirbe has added podcast host to her repertoire—leading Dirt Diaries: The FarmHER + RanchHER Podcast, where she dives into unfiltered conversations with women in agriculture, sharing their stories of resilience, growth, and everything in between.
