On this week’s episode of The Rural Woman Podcast™, you’ll meet Kathryn Laframboise.

Kathryn is a rookie fibre farmer living on Treaty One land. Alongside her husband, she tends to 20 acres and nearly one hundred lives varying from ducks and geese to horses and alpacas. Kathryn is wildly passionate about community and embodies that as a middle school teacher and graduate student. She is constantly learning to be an advocate for equity through education and sustainable environmental stewardship. She appreciates and strives to support local any chance she gets! Kathryn is in the middle of her Child-Centred Animal-Assisted Therapy Certification and is excitedly planning workshops for the 2022 year. One of her favourite sayings is that she is “farming for joy”.
