On this episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, we are chatting with Rachael Stewart!
Rachael is the CEO of the Southwest Black Ranchers. In late 2020, Rachael and her family decided to take a leap of faith and bring their longtime dream into fruition – a dream that would not only promote a healthy lifestyle and help their community, but one that would also make history by becoming the first Black-owned protein ranchers in Arizona.
On their ranch they raise primarily sheep, goats and ducks. Rachael and her family have built a ranch and organization centered on Food Security and building diversity in Agriculture. This quickly transformed into a support network and now they are developing a Food Distribution System to help support their network and vision of food security.
